Front Office Administrator
I recently moved here from Redding, CA and have worked in the dental field for 42 years. I began my career as a dental assistant and later managed a three doctor dental practice. I am happy to have joined a progressive dental practice here with Dr. Homitz, and a staff dedicated to excellent patient care. My husband and I moved to WA to be close to one of our twin sons and our two grandsons. We are enjoying the Pacific NW and all it has to offer. I look forward to working in this community and being a part of this practice for years to come.
Patient Care Coordinator
From our front office, I help patients get the dental care they need by coordinating patient care appointments, maintaining a productive daily schedule, and running the hygiene recall system. For more than six years, it has been my pleasure to get to know each and every patient and make everyone feel as comfortable as possible when he or she is in our care. I enjoy working in an office where our doctor and team are passionate about providing excellent patient care.
My husband and I recently celebrated 35 years of marriage, and we have two grown sons and two parakeets. I enjoy the outdoors, bird watching, crafting, and listening to bluegrass music.
I started working with the practice in 1987; it was one of the offices I did my in-service training in right after attending Bellingham Vocational-Technical Institute. I worked as a full-time assistant for four years, and then gradually switched to mainly front office. My favorite part of my job is interacting with the patients (some of whom I have now known for 27 years), as well as those who are new to the practice. I think it’s a comfort to all the patients to see the familiar faces whenever they come in, and I enjoy spending time with them, whether I’m taking X-rays or explaining a treatment plan. I enjoy working with Dr. Homitz because she consistently wants what is best for her patients, and works hard to accomplish her goals. Dr. Homitz and my co-workers are like extended family, and that is a rare thing to be able to say these days.
Dental Assistant / Treatment Coordinator
I assist Dr. Homitz with various procedures and scheduling treatment to keep their oral heath on track to perfection! I graduated from Bellingham Technical College in 1991 and have attended numerous continuing education classes throughout the past 23 years of my career. This has been a wonderful practice to be a part of, and I really cherish all the friendships I’ve made over the years. I love working with patients, especially being a part of restoring their smile and making them feel better about themselves.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with my girls and family. I also love to fish and spend time out on the water.
I graduated from Clark College in 1993 with a dental hygiene degree and joined Dr. Homitz’s team in 2004. As a hygienist, it is very important to me that my patients understand all aspects of their oral health and what they need to do to improve or maintain it. Education is just as important as the hygiene services I provide! I also really enjoy working with such an outstanding team. Our office is made up of a diverse group of ladies, and we all bring something unique to the office’s atmosphere.
In my free time, I like to hike, camp, read, and stay busy with my family.
I began my career in dentistry as an assistant, and in 2008, earned my degree in dental hygiene at Lake Washington Technical College. I enjoy educating my patients about the importance of good oral health and the effects it can have on overall health and well-being. I love building relationships with my patients and coworkers; they all make me laugh! Everyone here has so much experience and knowledge, and I find I learn new things every single day. I am fortunate to be part of a team that works together so well.
My family loves outdoor activities, working in the yard, visiting the zoo, watching and cheering on family members at their sporting events, biking, and skiing. We also love Husky football!
I have lived in Skagit County most all of my life. I graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1981 and earned my Associate of Science in dental hygiene from Shoreline Community College. Working with Dr. Homitz and her team has been a wonderful experience so far. She and our staff genuinely care about what’s best for our patients. I’ve loved getting to know my patients and helping them achieve optimal oral health.
I have two boys, Adam and Tyler, who are the shining stars in my life. I married Don two years ago and life has never been better! In my spare time I like to golf, shop, and spend time with lifelong friends. We love to travel to Hawaii and the warmer states, often to golf.
I graduated from Bellingham Technical College in 2015 with an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Dental Assisting. I am also certified through the Dental Assisting National Board. I appreciate the opportunity to work with Dr. Homitz and expand my assisting knowledge. I enjoy working with my coworkers. Dr. Homitz and her team are committed to provide the best patient care possible. I am eager and excited to continue to grow with this dental practice. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and our five year old daughter who keeps us on our toes! I enjoy reading, being with family, and going to Birch Bay on the weekends to relax.
