appointments and what to expect

Our community has been through a lot over the last several months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always and continues to be a top priority for our practice. In light of the on-going pandemic we have implemented additional measures in accordance with the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We will continue to follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  •    Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some wellness screening questions. You will have your temperature taken and will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you call or text from your vehicle to check-in and wait in your vehicle until you are called in for your appointment.
  • We require that all patients over the age of 4 years old wear a face covering and only remove when instructed to allow delivery of dental care.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office and before you leave the treatment room.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s books since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • We have a small waiting room so we ask any companions to please wait in their vehicles unless necessary to assist the patient.  All companions will also be asked to follow the same protocol above and will be screened.
  • All staff in the office will be wearing masks, and clinical staff will be wearing additional high level PPE to protect themselves and others at all times.
  • You may find the office a little colder due to our new air purification system and we recommend wearing warm clothes or layers to your appointment. We do have clean, cozy blankets if you get cold during the appointment that are laundered on site between each patient.

We look forward to seeing you at your appointment and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
